Stock on the Mobile App
The Stock tab holds your whole catalogue and everything you do to it. You no longer have to walk to a computer because a delivery arrived or someone typed the wrong number.
Everything here asks for the same details the web portal asks for, so a product added on the phone is a complete product — not a half-filled record you have to go and finish later.
Finding things
The list shows every product with what you hold and what it is worth. Use the search box at the top for a name or SKU, and the store chips below it to look at one store on its own or All stores together.
Adding a product
Tap the + and choose Add product.
The first question is what are you selling — a good or a service — because the rest of the form changes with the answer.
| Field | Goods | Services |
|---|---|---|
| SKU / Service code | Called SKU | Called Service code |
| Barcode | Yes | Hidden — a service has none |
| Unit / Charged per | pcs, box, kg… | hour, session, visit… |
| Cost price | Required | Optional |
| Reorder level | Yes | — |
| Duration in minutes | — | Yes |
Leave the code blank and it is numbered for you, following the convention your catalogue
already uses. A book reading ITM-00001 gets ITM-00013, keeping your digit width — it does not
impose a format of ours. Or press Generate to see the next number before you save. Type your
own and it is kept exactly as typed, and refused by name if it is already taken.
The unit picker offers the common units plus any your business has added, and + Add a unit creates a new one without leaving the form.
Receiving a delivery
Tap the + and choose Receive stock.
Pick the store the goods are going into, set the received date — this is the date your books use, so a delivery entered on Monday for goods that came Friday should say Friday — then add each line: the product, how many, and what they cost you.
The unit cost is filled in from the product's catalogue cost, so you only change it when the price actually changed. Getting it right matters: it is what the item is valued at on your balance sheet, and what your profit is measured against when it sells.
Correcting a count
Tap Correct on any product row.
Choose a single store first — stock is held per store, so the question has no answer without one. Then enter the number really on the shelf (not the difference), pick a reason, and add a note if it helps.
| Reason | Use it when |
|---|---|
| Miscount | The number entered was wrong |
| Damaged or broken | Spoiled, expired in handling, broken |
| Theft or loss | Missing and not accounted for |
| Expired | Past its date, taken off the shelf |
| Stock-take | You counted the shelf and it differs |
Every correction records who made it, when, the before and after, and why — and posts to your accounts so your Stock figure keeps matching your shelf. Owners, managers and stock managers can do it. There is more detail in Correcting Stock.
