Approving one does the thing

This is the part worth knowing: approving is not just a decision on record.

  • A loan request creates the loan, as pending, exactly as if an officer had keyed it. It picks up the product's usual fees. Approving the request is not approving the loan — that still goes through its own gate.
  • A withdrawal is carried out against the savings account you choose.
  • A profile update writes the fields to the member's record. Only contact details can be changed this way; name, national ID and date of birth cannot, because those are what the KYC documents were checked against.

A phone number in a profile update is checked before it is written, so a bad number is refused at the point the member types it rather than days later.

Rejecting

Give a reason. The member sees it in Circle, so write something they can act on.
