Financial Services
Member Requests
Requests members raise from the Circle app. Go to Financial Services → Requests.
| Type | What the member is asking for |
|---|---|
| Loan | To borrow — they give an amount and a note |
| Withdrawal | To take money out of their savings |
| Profile update | To correct their phone, email, address or next of kin |
Approving one does the thing
This is the part worth knowing: approving is not just a decision on record.
- A loan request creates the loan, as pending, exactly as if an officer had keyed it. It picks up the product's usual fees. Approving the request is not approving the loan — that still goes through its own gate.
- A withdrawal is carried out against the savings account you choose.
- A profile update writes the fields to the member's record. Only contact details can be changed this way; name, national ID and date of birth cannot, because those are what the KYC documents were checked against.
A phone number in a profile update is checked before it is written, so a bad number is refused at the point the member types it rather than days later.
Rejecting
Give a reason. The member sees it in Circle, so write something they can act on.
